the subject of the next 'the commune' forum on class struggle in the 1970s is 'women in struggle'.
the meeting will feature discussion of the 20,000-strong leeds clothing workers’ strike of 1970, reinventing the flying picket before miners and building workers picked up the idea. with guest speaker liz leicester, as well as a film on the strike, leeds united.
