Class struggle anarchists organizing in VA, USA
Does anyone in North America have experience with, or knowledge of these folks? There call appears to be class conscious (but not reductionist) and pro organizational, and best of all, in the southeastern USA.
"We welcome everyone to attend the Virginia Anarchist Conference which is taking place in Richmond, Virginia this November 10th. The goal is to organize in such a way as to provide assistance to local groups as well as helping promote a radical anarchist political viewpoint on a more regional basis..."

Did you read the anti-imperialism bit, against "national oppression"? If only we could liberate those proletarian nations... This group strikes me as the kind of "anarcho"-liberals that are increasingly prevalent everywhere.
good post - i hadn't actually read the thing. Those Points of Unity are funny.
Anyways there's probably some cool people in the mix.
Where these the same folks we met in the II Seanet Conference?
Dunno. I don't recall if anyone was from the Richmond area. Virginia was much further away for me, back then.
Two of my comrades in the DC group, live in Northern Virginia. They've been going to these meetings and think they have some potential and are remaining in contact.
There was one group from VA (I think Richmond specifically) that was pro-organizational but seemed like maybe they had some funny ideas?...
Yeah, nice folks but had some buzz word they had cooked up themselves? I was thinking that was NC, or somewhere. Anyway, at the time, I thought they had potential and hoped we would stay in touch, but I failed to get contact info. If they respond to my conference salutations, I might ride over and be an observer.
You're right, I got Raleigh and Richmond confused, i think.
